Jennifer is an extraordinary combination of artist, activist and local/ global Change Agent. She is a glorious musical performer, however her connection to our collective is based on her academic, scientific and public-speaking work. In 2008 Johns received a grant from the Kapor Foundation and spent a year on the road asking people about their definition of sustainability and poverty for a project she called Go Liv.
Now, a self-proclaimed Artivist, (artist + activist) Johns acknowledges that part of her life’s work is to leverage her art for social-spiritual change. Jennifer is currently a resident artists in South Africa recording an album. She returns to Oakland, CA in June 2016. #funmanifesto
